Mobile technology is experiencing the same kind of six week week life that computers did in the last 90’s and early 2000’s. Even from the basic consumer standpoint, your new computer being outdated in a matter of weeks was a lot more apparent during that time period than it is now.
When the Droid first came out, it was one of the kings of the mobile world with a lighting fast 550 MHz processor. Less than three months later, the Nexus One strutted into the mobile arena with a 1 GHz snapdragon processor. Now HTC’s new phone called the Scorpion is supposed to have a 1.5 GHz processor. This on top of the fact that Apple’s iPhone 4G is rumored to be running a dual core processor.
I use my cellphone a lot, and I don’t mind spending money on it. Which is why having phones constantly coming out so much better than the one I just bought is a problem for me.
Self control much?
It’s a vice. Back off.
